A Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in Education Signed between Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Malaysian SEG International Group

On the afternoon of July 14 in SEGI University (Sysmatic Education Group International), the Shanghai University ofTraditional Chinese Medicine and Malaysia SEG International Group signed aMemorandum of Understanding on cooperation in education and educationalcooperation between the two sides officially started.


The vice president of Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Jiguang and the COO of the SEG International Bhd Ms. Stella Lau, as a representative of the both sides respectively, signeda memorandum of understanding. The member of Malaysia’s House of Lords Mr.Zhang Shengwen visited and witnessed the signing of activities. Dean of International Education, Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese MedicineYan Xiaotian, consultant Mr. Yang liqian and former director of SEGInternational Bhd Mr. Yang Licheng, Associate Dean Ji Pingguang, also attendedthe event.


Ms. Stella Lau and Jiguang delivereda speech successively. They praised the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and SEG International Bhd for their pursuit of excellence and extraordinary school performance, jointly expressed the desire that they wouldpromote the Malaysian Medical education through this cooperation and hope thatmore Malaysian students further their Traditional Chinese Medicine andmedical-related professional learning in Shanghai University of TraditionalChinese Medicine ,and both sides will look forward to working together in theharvest of TCM education.


Zhang Shengwen delivered a speech; hesaid he was glad to witness the cooperation between the two universities andthe highly positive efforts in the two schools of Chinese medicine education cooperation. He also pointed out that Chinese medicine has been widelypracticed into people's lives in Malaysia, and now is not just the local Chinese, but people from other nations have gradually begun to accept the concept of Chinese medicine and health care. Besides, he expressed his looking forward to the Chinese medicine's formally entering into Malaysia's modernhealth care system and turning into a vital ingredient.
